SC/ST Committee

The SC/ST Committee of our institution has been established in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Government of India to safeguard the rights and welfare of students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The committee is committed to ensuring social justice, equal opportunity, and an inclusive educational environment for all.

Objectives of the SC/ST Committee

• Protect the Rights of SC/ST Students: Ensure that students from SC/ST communities are not subjected to any form of discrimination or unfair treatment.
• Promote Equal Opportunity: Facilitate equal access to academic, administrative, and support services within the institution.
• Create Awareness: Conduct sensitization programs, workshops, and orientation sessions to promote awareness about the rights and responsibilities of SC/ST students.
• Redress Grievances: Address complaints or issues faced by SC/ST students promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
• Support Government Schemes: Assist students in availing scholarships, fellowships, fee concessions, and other welfare schemes provided by the central and state governments.

Functions of the Committee

• Monitor and ensure the effective implementation of reservation policies in admissions, recruitment, and other institutional processes.
• Provide guidance and support to SC/ST students in academic and personal matters.
• Organize activities to promote inclusiveness, social harmony, and mutual respect on campus.
• Maintain a grievance redressal mechanism for SC/ST-related issues.
