(Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace)

The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) has been established in our institution in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and the guidelines laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The committee is dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive environment for all students, staff, and faculty members.

Our institution stands firmly against any form of harassment and is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for all. The Internal Complaint Committee plays a crucial role in upholding this commitment by being a reliable, accessible, and responsive body for redressal and prevention.

Objective of the ICC

  • To create and maintain a safe working and learning environment free from sexual harassment.
  • To uphold the dignity and rights of women employees and students by preventing discrimination and harassment.
  • To provide a fair and confidential mechanism for redressal of complaints related to sexual harassment.
  • To educate the campus community about gender sensitivity, legal provisions, and respectful behaviour.

Functions of the ICC

  • Receive and address complaints of sexual harassment at the workplace or academic environment.
  • Ensure confidentiality, impartiality, and prompt investigation into complaints.
  • Recommend disciplinary action, if required, based on the findings of the inquiry.
  • Organize awareness programs, workshops, and training sessions on gender equity and workplace ethics.
  • Submit annual reports to the relevant authorities on the number of cases received and actions taken.

Filing a Complaint

Any aggrieved woman (student, faculty, or staff) may file a written complaint with the ICC within 3 months of the incident. The committee ensures that all proceedings are conducted with sensitivity, confidentiality, and fairness.
