Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the branch of engineering concerned with the practical applications of electricity in all its forms, including those of the fields of electronics. This makes Electrical and Electronics Engineering, one of the most sought after branches of Engineering discipline.Electrical engineering is one of the three core branches of Engineering. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a blend whose scope never diminishes. This branch of engineering deals with design, production, operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment. Some of the areas of specialization are power generation and transmission, power electronics, VLSI Design, communication and machine design. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering provides job opportunity in telecommunication systems, electrical power systems, designing of house hold appliances, Robotics, biomedical electronics etc.The students are trained in practical courses involving testing and maintenance of electrical machinery and their controls, estimation and set up of electrical wiring in buildings and houses, communication systems, power generation, and control and transmission devices for electric utilities. In electronics engineering, students are familiarized with design of electronic devices, components and circuits. The students are taught to extend the basic principles of electrical engineering and apply them in the manufacture and design of electronic components, circuits and devices.The students are encouraged to become practically skilled through hands-on training in the laboratories designed for the purpose. The courses are also designed to enhance practical experience by collaborating with leading industries.
